Icebox: Timeline follows the passengers and crew of the lost starship Sequoia as they drift in and out of cryosleep across its twelve-thousand-year existence.
Players take turns setting up scenes by drawing cards and placing them on a timeline. Each is a memory, recalled in answer to a central question you write together about the ship’s history. You build the story out of order, jumping forward and back, so nobody knows when a scene happens until it happens. There’s no GM; all four of you rotate through roles as you play.
This is the low-design ashcan—every rule you need, no fancy layout yet. Buy it now and get the fancy version free when it lands. (It’s basically unchanged since the Gauntlet Podcast reviewed it in 2016. That’s how long I’ve been sitting on it.)
